Assens town is 2.5 km from Thorøhuse. Assens offers shops, museums, restaurants and "Tobaksgården" with musical events. In addition, the city has 4 discount stores and SuperBrugsen.
There are excursions to Baagø with the ferry from Assens harbor or the opportunity to drive on bicycle cycling in Western Funen.
To the south there are Saltofte Strand, Sønderby Klint, Aa Strand, Hagenskov Gods and the beautiful Helnæs. Dining is possible at Gl. Brydegaard, which focuses on local produce, ecology and animal welfare.
The view is magnificent over the water and Thorø from the large terrace of the apartment with table-bench sets.
There is a barbecue and a stove that can be used. In addition, there are usually spices in the garden that you can use for cooking.

Around and in Thorøhuse you will find beaches with birds and rare plants, fishing opportunities, wave beach with bathing bridge to the south and shallow beach-friendly beach 200 m from our house to the north. Likewise, shorter or longer walks to Sønderby Klint, Torø and Slambassins in Assens are recommended.
The place is ideal for kayaking, windsurfing, kite surfing and angling.
We have equipment for crab fishing for children as well as the reyk and dragon.
