The Øksnebjerg Stone
This stone was erected to commemorate the peasants’ fight for freedom. Text translation: “Johan Rantzau struck so cruel, purging Funen of Hanse rule, thus freeing Nordic clay, of papistry that same day.” The stone was erected by the people of the area with the support of the museum of national history.
