Look forward to a Christmas dinner in fairytale surroundings at Gl. Avernæs, where the atmosphere is filled with holiday spirit. The talented chefs have created a 4-course menu with a loving twist of the season’s best local and organic ingredients.

Menu

  • Seared Faroese scallops with smoked Jerusalem artichoke panna cotta, crispy rye, chips, pickled kohlrabi and cress.
    1st glass of wine: 2021 Roero Arneis, Elisa, Piemonte
  • Fried halibut with sautéed spinach, roasted parsley roots, candy beets and cream sauce with browned butter
    2nd glass of wine: 2022 Chablis "Saint Pierre", Domaine Henri Richard
  • "Wellington" of organic pork from Lillegården with Danish duck and mushrooms in crispy panko, truffle sauce, and honey-glazed potatoes and carrots
    3rd glass of wine: 2018 Ortalecia, Domaine Peter Sichel, Vallée du Cucugnan
  • Tiramisu à la Gl. Avernæs with amaretto, Nyborg liqueur, Christmas tea, dried cherries and gingerbread
    4th glass of wine: Recioto de Soave, La Cappuccina, Italy
