Experience Carl Henning Aarsø’s “Lundager Paintings”

Since settling at Sulegaarden in Lundager, Carl Henning Aarsø has drawn deep inspiration from the landscapes of Funen, the old timber-framed houses, the light, the changing seasons, and the moods of nature. These elements have shaped a wide range of artworks where the surroundings in and around Lundager serve as both motif and atmosphere.

In this series – Lundager Brush Paintings – the brush plays a special role. It appears not just as a tool, but as a subject in its own right. For the artist, the brush symbolizes a conductor’s baton – guiding color, composition, and expression.

The exhibition is a tribute to the soul of Funen – and to a life in art rooted in the Assens area.
