The History of Musikernes Hus
The house is known as “Musikernes Hus” (The Musicians’ House), named after musician Mads Christian Andersen, who lived here in the late 1800s. Later, two female musicians also lived in the house, and throughout time it has preserved its special connection to music and the arts.
Today, the house is available for both short stays (minimum three days) and longer stays of up to 60 days via Airbnb. The rental price depends on the length of the stay, and longer bookings offer a reduced daily rate.
The house also serves as a potential refuge for musicians, singers, and composers who need peace to immerse themselves in their artistic work. This happens in collaboration with foundations and artist organisations and is inspired by the nearby cultural institution Sulelængen in Magtenbølle. Here, summer concerts and events are hosted by the association “Sulelængens Venner”.
In 2025, the house was taken over by the owners of Enggaarden and Sulelængen, Ingrid Henriksen & Jørgen Bjerring. This has created a direct connection between stays in “Musikernes Hus” and music experiences at Sulelængen just across the road.
