Behind Fugleviglund are Michael and Poul, who moved from Surrey in England to Funen to create a new chapter in their lives. They dreamed of a place close to nature where they could combine passion, lifestyle, and hospitality – and they found exactly that in the beautiful protected landscape of Vissenbjerg. Both are food enthusiasts who take pride in honest food made from quality ingredients. In Café Orkidéen the menu reflects both their love of the local and their international travel experiences, where flavors and inspiration find their way onto the plate.
Fugleviglund has been created as a retreat where you can enjoy nature, refreshments, delicious food, and at the same time experience flowers and plants – especially orchids, which are a passion of the place. The vision is to create a small environment of togetherness, well-being, and coziness, where quality is always the common thread.

Café Orkidéen
At Café Orkidéen you can take a well-deserved break with coffee, cake, and refreshments in cozy surroundings. The café is created as a small retreat – perfect when you are out for a walk or visiting the farm and flower shop.
On weekends you can look forward to a delicious brunch or enjoy the traditional English High Tea, bringing a touch of British charm to Funen. During the week you will also find freshly baked cakes, croissants, and other treats for a quiet moment.

In the middle of the protected nature of the Vissenbjerg hills you will find Fugleviglund’s exclusive Bed & Breakfast – two beautifully renovated rooms with private bathrooms and direct access to hiking trails and forest. Here you can truly escape the noise and enjoy silence, views, and the Funen landscape.
The Heart Path runs right through the courtyard, and within five minutes you can reach both Vissenbjerg’s iconic viewpoint and the nature area “Afgrunden”.
The rooms are spacious and equipped with comfortable Super King Size beds, Smart TV, WiFi, Sonos speakers, fridge, kettle, and desk. One of the rooms also has a sofa bed that accommodates an extra adult or two children.

The flower shop Orchid Farm Village
In the flower shop Orchid Farm Village, orchids are at the heart of the selection. Here you will find both classic and rare varieties, normally not available in standard shops. If you are a collector or curious enthusiast, you can even order unique orchids via Exotic Plant Company – an exclusive collaboration that brings something truly special to your home.
The shop also offers a wide range of flowers, green plants, pots, and vases – something for every taste.
In the farm shop you will find carefully selected quality products, often in collaboration with other local producers. The vision is to create a kind of “mini-coop” for farm shops – a place where products from several small suppliers are brought together. Here you can find fish, meat, cheese, fruit, vegetables, chocolate, delicacies, and gifts, often with a touch of inspiration from travel and gastronomy.
