About the VANDVID Experience Centre

At VANDVID, Denmark’s unknown underwater landscapes are explored together with the magic of recreational fishing. After visiting VANDVID, your journey across the Great Belt Bridge will never feel quite the same again. Here, you will gain a new understanding of the landscapes hidden beneath the sea surface.

VANDVID is where Denmark’s underwater geodiversity and the unique world of recreational fishing are communicated through sensory experiences, storytelling and activities for both children and adults.

With interactive experiences, activities and a unique location by the Little Belt, VANDVID invites both children and adults to discover the fascination of the sea up close.

What can you experience?

A visit to VANDVID offers four dimensions presented in a sensory, underwater and magical universe.

• Denmark beneath the surface: Join a journey below the sea surface and discover the hidden landscapes that shape Denmark.
• Activity area for all ages: Explore interactive activities and experiences for both children and adults.
• Workshop in The Red Warehouse: Try creative and cosy activities such as borrowing a fishing rod, painting your own lure or learning more about recreational fishing.
• Assens’ best sea view: Enjoy the view of the Little Belt from the large wooden terrace with harbour atmosphere, fresh sea air and plenty of space to relax.

Location

VANDVID is located at Assens Marina, where the old warehouse meets modern, environmentally conscious architecture. Here you will find classic Danish harbour atmosphere with seagulls, boats in the harbour and an ice cream in the sunshine.

Situated between maritime industry and urban renewal, the location creates a very special atmosphere – with the town on one side and the magnificent views of the Little Belt on the other.

Bågø and Recreational Fishing

VANDVID is close to some of Denmark’s exciting areas for recreational fishing and nature experiences. From Assens, you can take the ferry to Bågø, where peaceful island life, the marine environment and excellent fishing opportunities create unique experiences all year round.
