Apple Festival in Assens Municipality

The first Apple Festival in Assens Municipality took place in October 2014 and has since become a popular event in West Funen.

Funen is known as the garden of Denmark. Apple trees have flourished here for centuries, and particularly in West Funen, many of the old apple varieties are still grown today. It is also worth mentioning that the well-known Ingrid Marie apple was discovered in 1910 in a garden in Gl. Høed near Ebberup.

Programme for the Apple Festival 2026

Planning for the 2026 Apple Festival in Assens Municipality is well underway. It promises to be a fantastic festival with plenty of apple-related activities throughout Assens Municipality.
