Ferry Tour with Stories

Looking for a unique summer experience combining nature and culture? Step aboard the Bågø Ferry and join a scenic afternoon cruise on the Little Belt – featuring live storytelling and beautiful views of Funen and the archipelago.

In the summer of 2026, the Bågø Ferry will offer four cozy afternoon sailings where Museum Vestfyn shares the fascinating story of the ferry route between Assens and Bågø.

50th Anniversary

Step aboard the Bågø Ferry and enjoy live storytelling on a few exclusive and special sailings celebrating the ferry’s 50th anniversary.

As the ferry glides calmly across the Little Belt from Assens to Bågø, Museum Vestfyn will share entertaining and engaging stories about the ferry, its importance to the island community, and thoughts about its future.

The ferry tour with storytelling takes place every Monday in July on the departure from Assens at 13:00. During the trip to Bågø, Museum Vestfyn provides the storytelling – followed by a short break on Bågø, where you can enjoy the surroundings and buy refreshments at the kiosk. Shortly after, the ferry returns to Assens.

There is also an exhibition onboard that you can explore during the sailing.

Duration: Approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Departure from Nordre Havnevej 12, 5610 Assens.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before departure.

Practical Information

• No food or drinks are sold onboard – but you are welcome to bring your own.
• Dogs are welcome if kept on a leash, in a carrier, or in a bag.
• The ferry accommodates up to 98 passengers (30 in winter).
