About Moustapha Diop

Moustapha Diop was born on 23 September 1969 in Thiès, Senegal. He is trained in decorative arts and painting and has worked professionally as an artist for many years.

His journey into the world of art began in 1985 when he started as an apprentice. During this period, he developed his skills through craftsmanship, technique and practical experience. Diop is deaf/hearing impaired, and art became an important way for him to express himself from an early age.

Since 2003, Moustapha Diop has exhibited internationally, including in Paris, Portugal, Milan and Dubai. Today, he lives and works primarily in Senegal, while regularly travelling between Africa and Europe.
