Summer evening visits to eight churches in Assens

Every Thursday evening from June 25 to August 13 at 19:00, you can visit eight of the municipality’s beautiful churches – completely free and without registration. Assens Deanery hosts the summer church visits.

Refreshments will be served in connection with the events.

Local storytellers will share the history of the churches, their role in the local community, and life in and around them. Along the way, you can enjoy a light refreshment – and look forward to fascinating anecdotes, architectural highlights, and a cozy atmosphere on warm summer evenings.

Time: Events start at 19:00.

Price: Free admission and no registration required.

The event at Bågø Church

Special information about the visit to Bågø on Thursday, July 2 at 17:00 – registration required.

The event begins at 17:00 with ferry departure from Ndr. Havnevej.

Practical information:

• The church is located 2.5 km from the ferry. You can walk or bring your own bike. Bikes can also be borrowed, and transport is available via the “Grisevognen” from the ferry harbor.
• Bring your own picnic – soft drinks and non-alcoholic beer can be purchased in the stable.
• The event is free of charge.
• Register by email: assens.provsti@km.dk no later than Friday, June 26. Please include: name, phone number, number of participants, and whether you will walk, bring your own bike, borrow a bike, or use the “Grisevognen” transport on Bågø.
